Hadith #1: Learning The Quran

‘Aishah (May Allah be pleased with her) reported:

The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said, “The one who is proficient in the recitation of the Qur’an will be with the honourable and obedient scribes (angels) and he who recites the Qur’an and finds it difficult to recite, doing his best to recite it in the best way possible, will have a double reward.”  [al-Bukhari and Muslim].

Note: A believer who recites the Qur’an and acts upon it, Allah will grant him a high rank. He is loved by Allah and also enjoys public esteem. The believer who does not recite it but acts upon its teachings is also loved by Allah and people.

Hadith #2: Health and Free Time

“Ibn Abbas (RA) relates that Rasulullah (SAW) said, “There are two blessings which many people lose: health and free time for doing good.” (Bukhari)

Note: Health and time are two important blessings from Allah (SAW). When we are healthy we have the energy and strength to do more. We should utilize our health to excel in doing good. Similarly, we should utilize our time wisely in doing virtuous deeds. We should never waste our energy and time doing unnecessary things.

We should thank Allah (SAW) for keeping us healthy and granting us time to be alive. The best way to thank Allah (SWT) is to use our health and time to do good deeds and seek knowledge.

Re-Registration and Fees Change

April 10, 2017

Assalamu Alaikum

Dear Parents, we hope that this finds you in the best of your imaan and health. Alhamdulillah with our collective efforts, we have seen rapid progress in our students. They have been showing great results and spirit in their religious learnings.

Alhamdulillah, our 2016-2017 school year, which has been very successful, is nearly coming to an end. With that, we have started to prepare for the upcoming 2017-2018 year. We hope to see the same great amount of enthusiasm towards Islamic learning in the upcoming years.

At EQS, we are constantly trying to raise our standards, by improving our systems to cater to our children’s needs in a more productive manner Islamically, Socially, and Morally. As of August 01, 2017, Insha’Allah, we will be introducing an in-depth program for the higher grades covering:

  • Introduction of Rotation system; this will enable us to assign specialized teachers to specific areas of expertise. This system will help teachers in focusing better on each student in an individualized manner
  • More focus on topics which are critical for tarbiyah such as Islamic hygiene, rules pertaining to cleanliness, etc.
  • Introduction of an “Agenda” which will be used on a day-to-day basis acting as an effective form of communication between the parents and the teachers

Fee Increase:

For the 2017-18 the Evening Quran School’s fees will be increasing by a nominal amount of $5.00/student, thus the new amount moving forward will be $50.00 for first child and $45.00 for every child thereafter. This nominal increase will help us to improve our facilities in providig a better learning environment to the students InshaAllah.

Re-Registration:

Parents/Guardians are requested to fill out the attached form as part of the            re-registration process for the upcoming year and kindly include $25.00/child (cash only) for the new “Islamic Studies Books & Agenda” that the student will be receiving upon their return. Please send us back the attached form along with the fee of $25.00 in cash to the office during EQS hours at your earliest convenience.

If you have any questions, concerns or suggestions please do not hesitate to contact us via email at ([email protected]) or phone during EQS hours (5:30 to 7:30).

Jazakallah u khairan.
