This means that the possibility of having students at various levels in one class is normal and expected. This will not impact on the quality of the program as our instructors are trained to work with each student on an individual basis. Ideally, by the time a child has reached nine years of age he will have at minimum mastered the following:
Theme: Cleanliness
- Qaidah (beginners book for learning to recite Quran) with heavy concentration on correct pronounciation
- The Arabic & English memorization and basic understanding of:
- Kalimah tayibah (declaration of faith)
- Kalimah Shahadah (declaration of faith)
- Imaan Mufassal (7 basic beliefs)
- Memorization of Surah Fatiha, surah kafiroon, surah ikhlas, surah falaq and surah Naas
- Concept of cleanliness and istinja (method of using the bathroom and cleaning oneself afterwards)
- Correct method of performing wudu
Theme: Salah
- Completion of the recital of 5 juz with tajweed
- Memorization of an additional 6 surah’s :
- Surah Lahab
- An Nasr
- Al Kauthar
- Al Maoon
- Quraysh
- Al Feel
- The complete Method of Salah including the Arabic prayers recited within
- Review of previous level
Theme: Respect
- Completion of the recital of an additional 10 juz (6-15) with tajweed
- Memorization of an additional 6 surahs:
- Surah humazah
- Al Asr
- Al takathur
- Al Qariah
- Al Adiyaat
- Al Zilzaal
- 5 Pillars of Islam in Arabic and English with appropriate explanation
- Review of previous levels
Theme: Love for Islam
- Completion of the recital of the remaining 15 (15-30) juz with tajweed
- The ability to recite an entire Juz in 50 minutes with Tajweed
- Review of all the levels
For other important Islamic education (basic History, Seerah, Fiqh – commonly referred to as “Islamiyaat”), we strongly encourage you to inquire about our weekend program. The time spent during the Evening Quran School will mostly be devoted to Quran.

This program was designed for boys and girls between ages of 5-12. Teenagers between
the ages of 13-15 may also attend.

- $45.00 for the first child. $40.00 for the remaining children per month. A onetime registration fee of $20.00. Qaida’s cost $5.00 if one wishes to purchase from the Centre.
